Dar Alwan for Printing and Publishing

An officially licensed Lebanese publisher, founded in 2020 in Al-Majadel, Tyre, South Lebanon, and run by the author and educational researcher Dr. Khadija Abdulmonem Haydoura.

Our project began with the Reading in a Story series, created with Ahl al-Bayt School in Ottawa, Canada, in response to the need of children living abroad for a curriculum that brings them closer to Arabic and respects their environment and their linguistic and cultural needs. After the books were printed, used and proved successful, the publishing house and the books were licensed, and our work grew until our publications and services reached other countries.

We believe the story opens a door for the child to language and knowledge. So we build our curricula on stories, pictures, conversation and play: we link the letter to the word and its meaning, and guide the learner step by step from listening and observing to reading, writing and expression. In the grammar books, the child starts from the text to discover the rule, discuss it and apply it.

We care about developing the child's language, imagination and thinking, and strengthening their bond with their identity, culture and values, through educational and religious content inspired by the Holy Quran and the life of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Our publications include Arabic curricula and religious, educational and learning stories, with accompanying digital content. We also founded a remote learning center serving children of Arab and Lebanese communities in many countries, and we keep developing our curricula and preparing new publications.
